It was my first day in the frozen section room and it was a busy Monday morning with a prostate for margins, an ENT specimen with multiple margins, and a uterus for staging. I momentarily stumbled and was not sure if I will be able to do it, but then I took a minute and said to myself that there are patients in the operating room waiting for diagnosis and I focused and performed best. It was not until my frozen rotation, I realized my love for general surgical pathology. I loved the combination of rush, critical thinking, broad clinical medical knowledge, decision making, good judgment, communication, and expert analytic morphologic skills required for making the diagnosis.

I have sub specialization interest in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and will pursue it after the fellowship in Surgical Pathology.

I believe no challenge is too big to be overcome and any problem can be solved. I have the thirst to learn, get trained and become expert in Surgical Pathology. I am a people person who maintains a positive attitude and outlook. I have the empathy, integrity and humility needed to be a physician. I'm confident that my personality, strong medical knowledge and training in Pathology would make me a very good fellow. I can work in fast paced environment with confidence and can handle heavy workload effectively.
