States that don’t allow the purchase of guns without filling out a lot of paperwork makes people find different ways to get guns. They sometimes will go to other states to get guns. These states that they go to are ones with lower gun laws. They don’t have regulations on these guns they don’t make you fill out a lot of paperwork. Their are pros to gun laws in australia they made stricter gun laws and their homicide rates went down. “In the 18 years before the gun law reforms, there were 13 mass shootings in Australia, and none in the 10.5 years afterwards. Declines in firearm-related deaths before the law reforms accelerated after the reforms for total firearm deaths.” (chapman). There can be good things to these laws as well as bad. These are the states that have the highest death rate in the United States Alaska, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Wyoming, Montana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Tennessee. Some of these states have really strict gun laws. Not all of these deaths are homicides some are suicides. “In 2013, there were a total of 33,636 firearm deaths, and 21,175, or 63 percent, were suicides, according to the CDC. Homicides made up 11,208, or 33 percent, of those firearm deaths.”
