There should not be standardized testing in schools because, parents don't want their kids taking it, it is a waste of time, and causes too much stress on students and teachers. Parents don't trust the people who have access to the SBAC scores.Additionally kids spend an average of the day taking a test. As well as, stress is building up on them and impacting their self-esteem. The standardized tests are well known for testing a child's level of academic abilities but, I trust my teachers opinion on making test, not the computer, maybe pen and paper is the way to go.

She says,” Every Day before a big test, I am always stressed out and I worry I won't do my best because it could be a really big grade.” This shows that standardized tests put too much stress on children, just like us. Throughout these pieces of evidence, it shows that standardized tests put too much stress on kids and could damage self-esteem. There are many reasons why there should not be mandatory standardized testing in schools. To begin with, every parent wants their kids to be happy during the school day, but these tests are making that a harder mission.
