Secretariat made some people love him and made them rich in return because they had the confidence in Secretariat to put down a few thousand for a few hundred thousand dollars(Bayly). When Joe Frazier beat Muhammad Ali it shocked the world and made Joe Frazier a rich man, television became even richer. Television would get paid when viewers would tune in to watch not only Joe Frazier but the other boxers that the television would televise(Muhammad Ali Refuses Army Induction). Mark Spitz paved the way for the American swim team all across America, he inspired all swimmers by winning 7 gold medals in the Olympics.
