The Southern Border Wall During the course of this year’s recent elections, the future President of The United States, Donald Trump, often proclaimed he would build a wall along the southern border of the United States and force Mexico to pay for it. This was a very prominent part of his presidential campaign and many Trump supporters would chant, “Build the wall!” at his rallies. There are many Americans that believe 2,000 miles of concrete wall around the Mexican border would erase or at least significantly reduce the amount of illegal immigration into the United States, but is a wall really going to stop people from illegally crossing the border or will it just be a waste of money?
