Essay On Social Inequalities

In the world, people are judged on their color, height, and even sometimes what gender they are attracted to or what someone was born as. People are treated unfairly in the world and it seems like no one is doing anything about it, and if someone is, it is not making that much of an impact that it needs. People are standing up for women's rights, standing up for inequality, and standing up to bullies, yet there is still inequality in the world. As the world starts to advance more, there has to be awareness brought to the topic of social inequality and persecution as it follows with the world. One example is transgender teens. Over half of transgender teens are not allowed to enter the bathroom at school because of their gender. If they are biologically a boy, but legally became a girl they are still thought of to be a boy, so they have to use the boy's bathroom. They are also singled out too. Since the students are being bullied and discriminated they can not focus on school and school work, and they also think that they have to pay attention to what they wear, and where they go use the bathrooms. Being bullied and discriminated does not only affect them emotionally it affects their education too. In the book, The Outsiders, real life examples of appearance bullying. In the book the Socials (a.k.a Socs) jump Greasers because they are Greasers. The Socs continue bullying the Greasers just because they feel like it. Also, sometimes people bully other people so they do not get bullied themselves. The middle class and upper class put the stereotype type on Greasers that, all Greasers are mean, rough, and tough. Maybe to protect themselves Socs bully and pick on Greasers, which is wrong. The Greasers do not do anything to them so why should the Socs "fight
