First, a person’s birthplace greatly influences his social class. More people born in third world countries live in the poverty class than those born in countries like America. For example, India’s caste system keeps people in separate social classes. Nobody in the caste system can move from one level to another without death and reincarnation. Therefore, the poor, who make up the lowest class, can do nothing about their situation and live there for the rest of their lives. In contrast, anyone born in America has the freedom to move from class to class. By working hard people can move up in life, but if they do not work or have bad luck they can lose what they have. I am lucky that I live in America where I can succeed and move up in social status. Also, God blessed me with a middle class family that values education and follows Christian morals. Even though the lower social class will always exist, I can help the poor by giving to charities, collecting food, and helping at shelters. Furthermore, God gave all people different abilities and put them in different situations. Therefore, those in a higher social class with many talents should help others in the lower social classes so that the poor can have a better
