For those that are considered poor and/or homeless, there are many obstacles before he or she may gain access to healthcare. Such difficulties may be a lack of knowledge about how to get coverage or where to get treated, lack of transportation, or lack of identification. This issue of class and healthcare is intricate because it is the result of an unfortunate cycle that begins with low or no income. Low or no income can lead to no shelter. No shelter can lead to unemployment, if this isn’t already an issue. Unemployment and no income can lead to no healthcare. I believe it is cruel and inhumane to do nothing, knowing that other people suffer from poor health just because they do not have the means to pay for something that should be free. Our Declaration of Independence states that all men have the natural-born right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." But without good health, how can one have any of
