It has taught me how important it is to be able to positively communicate my thoughts. I cannot imagine what high school would have been without Sunday night worship. I have learned to value friendships and what it means to be a trustworthy friend. Without my small group, I would not be the person that I am today. Throughout high school small group has led me to many different volunteering opportunities where I had the chance to lead. One example of this is when we went downtown to serve food to the homeless. I was in charge of assigning roles and making sure that everybody got their fair share of food. It was truly amazing to see the difference that such a small group of people can have on one person.
When I was in eighth grade my parents got a divorce. Without my small group, I don’t know where I would have ended up. Those girls took care of me and didn’t stop leading me towards the Lord. Because of both the divorce and the small group, I have grown up into an extremely mature teenager. I believe that I am very mature for my age and do a great job of keeping my priorities straight.
