When males reach sexual maturity they are about a year older than the females; four to five years old. The Siberian tiger is the largest of all of the wild cats in the world (F). The Siberian tiger averages about 11 feet in length, with a tail measuring around 3 feet. An adult male Siberian tiger can weigh up to 320 kg. While females, who are much smaller, may only weigh up to 180 kg.

The Siberian tigers are most commonly poached for their fur. The wild Siberian tiger lives only about 10 years, but a tiger in captivity lives around 26 years. This happens because a tiger living in captivity is not exposed to all the factors that wild tigers face; poaching, starvation, weather, etc.
