Losing something or someone that is really dear to your heart can have a long term effect on a person. It can affect the way the feel, and act. In the movie Shawshank Redemption Andy Dufresne, experiences the death of his wife. The movie follows Andy Dufresne who is sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison for the murders of his wife and her lover and is sentenced to a tough prison. However, only Andy knows he didn’t commit the crimes. Andy deals with death of freedom by him convincing the warden to let him be the banker of the prison, digging a hole leading to his freedom, and by taking money from the warden.

The death of freedom can sometimes cause a person to act in extreme ways. Upon learning that he will never leave the prison as long as the warden is there Andy realizes that he will be stuck in the prison for his whole life as long as the warden is in charge. Andy had a rough go at Shawshank but he fought through the tough times and instead of ending his life he got through it rewarding his self with freedom. In the end there are many ways people can deal with the death of freedom its weather we choose to deal with it or take your own life just because you can’t deal with your problem. You should not run from your problems but embrace them and find ways to deal with them because in the end Andy was a free man living life to the fullest that he can. Everyone has a change to death with problems so embrace them and get over them and good things can come out of dealing with your problems.
