Abortion is a Woman’s right to choose and should be legal . self induced abortions may affect women's mental health and long term health but since abortion was considered such a taboo practice it was illegal therefore not many studies have been conducted. Unsafe abortions cause 68,000 deaths and millions of injuries annually.abortion should be a woman's right and one of the best options when it come to sexual assault and traumatic experiences.for these reasons abortion should be legal and a woman's choice.

Self induced abortions may affect a woman's mental health and long term health. The Long-Term Physical and Psychological Health Consequences of Induced Abortion: Review of the Evidence found a correlation with self induced abortion and later development of depression and suicidal thoughts which would eventually turn self harm or suicide. Abortion should obviously be a woman's right because it is their body and a option if they cannot take care of a baby at that time in their life. However some might argue that the fetus counts as a living breathing person and the mother is going to hell if she chooses abortion.however abortion isn't killing a defenseless tiny person it's aborting a fetus to help the mother out for whatever reason she has.
