A doctor who would have found the cure for cancer, and a teacher that could have created a method to provide her students with the best education she could. Athletes that could have won gold medals in the olympics, and the next Michael Jackson who could have set the record for most won grammys in history. All of those who would have reached their dreams, but instead someone entered their schools and shot them to death with a gun. There are many causes associated with school shootings, but gun control laws, mental health and the reaction of the authorities to warnings and violence are claimed to be the main reason. Americans own 48% of guns worldwide meaning that 89 of 100 people own guns in the United States (Kara Fox 4). Taking into consideration that 89 out of a 100 people have guns in America is a really bad thing, and of those 89 people if they do not have them secure in safe places and in the reach of minors or someone that can cause harm with it, it is something really dangerous. In 2018 there have been over 20 shootings in schools, one occurs each week and counting; the first three occurred at universities and after the Parkland, Florida high school massacre the rest have occurred in schools (Saeed Ahmed 1). Copy catting is a huge epidemic in the world especially in the United States, it does not matter what it is to fashion up to cars, and behavior everybody copies everything and tragically they copy more the bad things like school shootings. Although gun control laws lack in many ways and are a huge cause for school shootings just accessing a gun alone does not make a person want to get into a school and out of nowhere shoot people.
