The structure of this group consisted of some of the more important people of the town of Ripon, and then some higher ups in the schooling system. This group had a great system that seemed to do the job they needed well. They were able to discuss every topic, and each had the chance to say why they agreed or disagreed for all of the proposals brought up. Before moving on to another topic they would discuss its benefits and cons and ultimately decide the best decision for our schooling system. Using this kind of system instead of having just one leader that proposes everything seems to be more beneficial, because it allows each person to give their personal and professional values to the table. One thing they do very well is listen to everything that is being discussed and understand what the benefits are to it. This is a key component in the communication model, because it allows everyone to listen to what is being said, process it and then understand what could either make the proposal better or find the flaws in it. Sometimes the hardest thing in a group is to make decisions without bringing any previous biased background to the problem. Mrs. Wittrock is a great example of this, although she has children in the school district she listens to the proposals and makes the best decision for the whole student group. These key components that they have in the school board group help the discussions run smoothly and most of the proposals to be accepted, or declined very
