A scapegoat is a person or an animal which takes on the sins of others, or is unfairly blamed for problems. The idea comes primarily from Leviticus, in which a goat is designated to be cast into the desert with the sins of the society. Other ancient societies had similar practices. Scapegoats have been used everywhere throughout the world and at all times. Beginning of the existence of life, during slavery, and until the 21st century. Scapegoating is derived from the concept of blaming others. If it is not our fault, we blame to defend. If it is our fault, then we blame to deflect. In any case, we save ourselves by criticizing others or in other words, by pointing fingers elsewhere, resulting in a SOCIETY BECOMING AN OUTCAST. Scapegoating occurs in different topics with different ways of blaming others, for example: mythology, religion, diseases, school shootings, government and media. Greek traditions mostly creates the Western perspective of the female, and uses a woman to explain the existence of evil developing in women as a society being an outcast. In the school shootings that happened in the United States since 2013 there have been at least 161 school shootings in America on average. Has anyone ever thought why is this number increasing every day? People around the country are not feeling safe anymore because of these shootings. When people send their children to school they are terrified that something will happen.
