The Story of Ruby Bridges An epic is a long narrative poem. An epic is the narrating of deeds and adventures of a legendary hero. An epic is what Ruby Bridges had to go through at, William Frantz, the school of integration. In an epic, there are villains, and heroes. An epic has people that do right and know what’s right and have the people that tries to bring others down because they don’t want to see them succeed. The school of integration, William Frantz, is an Epic event because it meets all the requirements of an epic. William Frantz, is an epic because it changed history. It is something that’s heroic and played a part in the nation’s history. A six-year-old changed everything, for black children. She sat out a name for who black people are and what they stand for. Something one out of many black children had to go through, except Ruby Bridges courage was heard all around the world. She didn’t just see racism and hatred, but she lived it she breathed it. A little girl going through so much trouble just to get an education. In this time of looking back you see all the hatred, anger, and evilness in people. Ruby Bridges was just a young girl but she’s a hero to other people. Many people sent her gift and applauded her for being so brave. The widow of Franklin Roosevelt, Eleanor, wrote Ruby as well everyone was proud of this little black girl. She made a difference in history, she made a difference in people life. People won’t think of it this way but her parents are just as brave as she is, they went through so much all together. Sending their daughter to a school where people are yelling that they would poison her and kill her, had to be something tough. Ruby Bridges is an epic herself, her family is an epic.
