The US Army was formed on 14 June in 1775, while the first chief engineer of the army was allocated on 16 June of the same year. The engineer’s soldiers also know back then as sappers and miners played an important role in the revolutionary war for instance the battle of Bunker Hill, Saratoga and the final victory in York Town. The corps of engineers known today, though, was brought back to service due to an authorization from congress in early March of 1802.today, they are charged with the responsibility of ensuring provision of engineering not only to the military bringing service for the nation. In the 1820s, there had to be a clear roadmap for the Corps to follow safely as a federal agency. The rains had been heavy and pathways had to be created for the nation’s citizens as well of that as it’s military, as they went about sustaining the economy. The Army engineers came up with layouts for the controlling of floods during the rains and navigations across rivers in their lines of duty. The development of the infrastructure could only be entrusted on the nation’s body of security. The Army engineers took part in mapping part of the nation in the thus providing easy access to and from different points of the states. The provision of the infrastructure also meant that investors could find a means to transport their raw materials to the industries and finished products to the market. In the Korean War, for instance, the Korean peninsula was so disfavoring that most, if not all soldiers, lost their confidence to engage in such a war condition. The climate as well as the terrain was a cruel habitation for any human to carry out any activity successfully. The infrastructure was also a major obstacle that needed attention; movement in this area was impaired. The US Army Engineers helped to rebuild the bridges and roads after the war that involved the United Nations calmed down, albeit it’s destruction of infrastructure.
