Teachers have a huge responsibility in our society as they are in charge of teaching the younger generations. If one year a class has a teacher that does not know what they are doing or does not care, then that class will be suffer next year, as they will not be knowledgeable on the subject. Good teachers will go to school events such as games, plays, and concerts to cheer on his/her students. This does not just include in school events a good teacher also is social outside of school. Whether it is bumping into them at the supermarket, park, or restaurant a good teacher will usually try and start a conversation with you. They try and make class more like a conversation rather than a lecture, asking questions and listening to student’s opinions. A bad teacher is the definition of anti-social. Once you leave the classroom you are not going to see him for the rest of the day. They will not attend any after school events that they are not forced to attend. Also if you bump into them outside of school they will try and end the conversation as quickly as possible. Surprising I know but its true. Students find it easier to learn from a friendly teacher since they give them a sense of comfortably. A good teacher will go out of their way to help and explain anything that a student has a problem with. They also ask questions about students’ days, which make the students, feel like the teacher really cares about us. They will offer extra help to those students who are struggling in class and encourage them to keep pushing forward and never to give up. A bad teacher hates their students, which brings up the question why are you even teaching? It is much harder for a student to succeed in a classroom where it feels like the teacher wants to be anywhere but there. A bad teacher will not care whether or not a student understands the lesson and will not offer any study session or explanations to for the lesson.
