Plot/Story
Ultimately, the directors and screenwriters of Remember the Titans established a serious tone throughout the movie because all of the scenes are relatively realistic. For example, the movie takes place during segregation in America, which occurred around the 1950’s. So, many of the events that we're illustrated in the movie actually happened at some point in time. Like when the school was forced to let black and white students go to school together. Overall, the movie centers around how the Titans (football team) handled being integrated. So, there isn't any fantasy or solely comedic scenes. In addition, the directors presented a simple plot arch. For example, the story starts off with two schools integrating. In addition, each of

In addition, many of the scenes shots are shot in the same way throughout the movie, which is a high angle. This is most likely to capture the whole scene. Many of the scenes take place on a large football field, so a high angle is need to capture everything. Occasionally, there is a low angle when characters are talking to each other, like when sun shine and Gary were speaking in the locker room. Another time is when Gary and Julius were fighting in the dorm room. Also, one or twice there was bird’s eye view, which was the director wanted to show a whole view of the school; As if to spotlight it. The director uses different camera angles as needed, which isn't frequently so when the camera angle is different the director is trying to enhance the scene. To add, different scenes in the movie also draws on the watcher's attention. On the other hand, the speed of the film is mostly consistent. Although, at times the director uses fast cuts to make the action move quickly. For example, when the characters are playing football many of the scenes are cut to display that the actors are moving fast on the field. In addition, serious scenes are never cut because the director wants watchers to feel the severity of certain situations. So, watchers get to see exactly how everything plays out. Thus, watchers getting to understand Julius’ character and of why he hated white people, which was because of his

This movie is the rare mix between animation and real action film. It is not a movie in which the animation and characters interact with each other, but there is a balance between both genres. In the Seventies, the fifteen years old troublemaker and leader altar boy Tim Sullivan and his three great friends, Francis Doyle, Wade Scalisi and Joey Anderson, study in a repressive Catholic school, and they hate their nun-teacher Sister Assumpta. An example of this in the film “Remember the Titans” is the geographical restriction of living in the town of Virginia. This restricting them to only one option and that is to play for the T.C Williams football team and is emphasised because “...none of [the] boys can afford to go to some other district just to play ball”. As human beings, we constantly have different moods, and these are always changing. Sometimes we are happy, angry, defensive, morbid, depressed, etc. We express these changes in mood through behavior, body language, and overall attitudes that are for the most part easy to map by the people who are around you. Similarly, for Barbara in the graphic novel I Kill Giants, she is illustrated by JM Ken Nimura to have, in almost every panel of the book, either some different animal ears or a quirky hat that suits the personality crafted by Joe Kelly perfectly. Some might say this was just an unrelated artistic choice, but it means so much more than that-- with each change in the ears, it reflects how Barbara reacts to the events of the story.…

An example of this type of shot is while Ellen and Cathy are discussing Edgar’s marriage proposal in the kitchen, and Heathcliff is hidden behind a wall in the doorway of the pantry adjacent to kitchen listening. The angle shot from the pantry simultaneously captures the reactions of not only Heathcliff but Ellen and Cathy as well. The cinematographers of the classic movie era captured movies in such a way that little action was necessary to communicate the…

An example of low angle is when it pans to the factory, it uses the low camera angle to give the factory an enormous feeling and to make it seem menacing. The factory contrasts to the town as the mansion contrasts to the town in Edward Scissorhands, making it the main aspect of the story. Another example of a low angle shot is when it goes over to the video game and destructive ticket winner, it uses a low angle when he is playing video games to show how ferocious he is and to make him appear huge. The last example of low angle is when Charlies, Willy Wonka, and Charlies Grandpa are riding up in the elevator. It makes them seem like they have all the power now, to give them a sense of role.…
