Dan Ruther once said “A college degree is the key to realizing the American Dream, well worth the financial sacrifice because it is supposed to open the door to a world of opportunity”. College can be very costly, but in the long run, it is going to be all worth it. The University of Texas Tech, home of the Red Raiders, is best known for their medical program which will help me build a future career in the medical field. I am hoping to build a career as a Radiology Technician and I am hoping Texas Tech will help me fulfill that dream.
The requirements and admissions of Texas Tech are founded on their website. For example, the cost of sending and filling out an application fee is seventy-five dollars (TTU). The students entering Texas Tech must have official scores of an ACT or SAT higher than a twenty-four. Another document needed is a high school transcript, which shows the students GPA, class rank, grades, and classes taken in high school. The recommended curriculums include four units of English, math, science, and two years of foreign language (TTU). Tech looks at the academic performances to evaluate the student’s potential success at their University. An admission is guaranteed if the student meets the high school

A radiology technician is someone who uses medical imaging techniques to diagnose and treat diseases or injuries. The requirements of becoming a radiologist are to have an undergraduate education meaning going to a 4 year university and having a bachelor’s degree. Another requirement is having at least some type of experience as a clinical internship or at a clinical residency. Also, you are required to have your license and certification of an ARRT. Becoming a radiology technician has been something I have desired to do for a couple of years now.
