Essay On Race Relations

Many people voted for Barack Obama because they believed it was proof that we in the US have conquered race-relations - unfortunately, once elected and after 8-years we see that race-relations are worse than they were in the late 70s and early 80s, basically we lost nearly 4-decades of improvement in race-relations.

Now then, what might hiring Hillary Clinton as president do for male-female relations or gender relations? Personally, I like women and wouldn't want to live in a world without them, and the last thing I'd want is to have a war of the planets, men being from Mars and women being from Venus, as there is already enough tension between the sexes of our species.

Why even mention this? Well, because today at Starbucks I met a nice couple who said they were going to vote for Hillary Clinton, they were long-time Democrats and didn't really care for her, but she was on the ticket and they wouldn't ever vote for a Republican, and I asked them about voting for an independent and they admitted they'd thought about it, however they said; it's time for the USA to have the first woman president. Napoleon, Aristotle, and Confucius all viewed women as useless creatures. Aristotle, for instance, once said “A proper wife should be as obedient as a slave.” The countless amount of sexist opinions that come out of powerful men have greatly affected the presence of females in political affairs and have gated their entrance into equality. Hillary Clinton challenges this idea in her speech, “Women’s Rights are Human Rights.” She believes women, of all backgrounds, should be able to exercise their basic human and legal rights and participate in political situations.…

Since the use of genetic data to define the validity of race erupted in the 1970’s, some scientists have addressed the notion that genetic variation by means of racial differences represents a form of racialization and therefore racism, in healthcare settings and within health spectrums in general. By using race as an indicator of genetic disparities we are acknowledging race as a biologically based enigma rather than a social construct. We allow discrimination to color a picture of embodied inequality among healthcare measures. Just as the anthropological definition of culture defines cultures as static entities defined by geographic boundaries, we cannot perceive race as a biological marker of genetic variation because it to is complex and static. Human biology, no matter what geographic location one hails from, is…

Gender Issues in Politics Gender is defined to me as the socially constructed characteristics of women and men such as norms, roles and relationships. After researching several articles in reference to the 2016 Presidential campaign Donald Trump has created gender issues among his opponent that seemed to baffle a lot of women in general. I have learned that since the 1900’s majority of women have always voted for the Republican Party. When we talk about making history in today’s society we could say that President Obama accomplished that. In 2016 we make history again by nominating Hillary Clinton as the first woman to top the ticket of a major U.S. political party.…
