John Proctor struggles in act 5 with the value of his name. He is more concerned on what his own actions are rather than what others think of himself. Reputation stands tall where many will judge to one’s ability to follow religious rules. Francis Nurse is well respected in the community that he is often called the unofficial judge. Rebecca Nurse on the other hand does not care what others think about her and she speaks her mind.
