Cons Of HomeSchooling
When it comes to homeschooling it's has lots of advantages and disadvantages. “Homeschooling-Companion” the article that i read the author speak about the disadvantage of homeschooling can be towards a child's life.The article states: ‘’That no matter how well designed they are they will not be a match for a nationally recognized school curriculum with examinations and accreditation. Furthermore, unless you have trained and hold qualifications as a teacher you will not be able to teach your children as efficiently as a trained professional teacher would’’ It continue to state that some parents feel that they can teach their kids better than a professional teacher but they lack the resources when it comes to standardized …show more content…
Kirkpatrick.He went to explain that ‘’Some of the ivy league colleges attract home schooled students not only because of their high SAT scores, but for their advanced social skills as well.’’ he continues to explains that students that are educated in any education system tend to rely on their classmates for value,and that causes them to have low self esteem and lower sense of self-worth. Being educated at home is more beneficial for the child and the parent, a child home education can cost about $900 dollars a year,compare that to a private school, where the average private school in the country starts off at $7,406 a year.
There are enough articles on the web where they describes the good the bad of homeschooling. I looked up the statistic of homeschooling and saw that There are about 2.2 million home-educated students in the United States, that's a 79% increase from 1999. The top reasons why parents choose to homeschool their child is because 73% of parents are dissatisfied with the american school system.
