Human rights, education, and child poverty are some big issues that are sometimes overlooked in the United States. There are many candidates that are running for the 2016 presidential election. On the Democrat side is Lincoln Chafee, Hillary Clinton, Lawrence Lessig, Martin O’Malley, Bernie Sanders, and last Jim Webb. On the Republican side, we have Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Jim Gilmore, Lindsey Graham, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, John Kasich, George Pataki, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum, Donald Trump, and last Scott Walker. After work, I always find myself watching television and I always seem to find myself running across television commercials with children that are starving half to death. In that moment, I feel very upset and heartbreaking because I know that something could be done about this issue. I feel that so much money is being wasted on other things, but what about the hungry children? What about the children that has no place to stay? This is a very big issue and I feel that more should be done about this. Poverty has many affects. Bullying is one of the biggest impacts. Not only does poverty get many children picked on, but it also impedes their ability to learn. I feel that anything could help and this should become a top priority to the government and others as well. Child poverty causes lots of stress, mentally and socially. Many are not really aware of this, but this is very ridiculous. Child poverty is a big threat to the child’s well-being and can make kids feel very low about themselves. Being poor is not something that I have every personally dealt with, but I could only imagine how it feels seeing someone else going through it. This is one of the biggest reasons why we need a president in office who is big on this
