Here in America, many of us are born into a financially stable home with security and opportunity. Usually, most of society don’t find themselves scavenging for food or worrying about where we will lay their head the next night. We have the opportunity to obtain an education and given food on a daily despite it being compared to dog food. We walk around mindlessly of the behaviors and habits we represent ourselves with and expect everything to be dropped for our needs. We manipulate and have become familiar with this egotistical lifestyle that we do not try to change our perspective on the other half of the people living amongst us in constant struggle. Typically, us humans separate people on many aspects including social aspects. One of the consequences of living in poverty is lacking a friendly social life. It has been proven on numerous occasions that children living in poverty are living with depression and anxiety because of the separation and bullying they experience on a daily basis. These children already have a hard home life and when they do get a chance to leave their situation they are simply reminded in a cold and harsh manner of where they came from. These children feel as if they are different from everyone else and try to uphold their role to other students while remaining at the bottom of the social ladder. Children in this situation eventually begin to believe that they are not worth anything more than to serve others which causes them to go into a state of depression and oppression. They are exposed to the lifestyle and begin to believe at a young age that this is the way life's supposed to be. This even causes some children and even adults to take their own lives because of the cruelty the outsiders show them. The rest of us need to show love and support to these people who already have it hard instead of making it worse and more miserable for
