When we notice police brutality we need to record that moment. We must use our cameras every time we catch police in the act of harassing someone. Then we can use the Internet and the viral media to expose them of they’re actions. We have the right and the power to expose the police. Back in the day, the Black Panthers did this exact thing. They had a police watch and would follow the police with a camera and record their actions. Now that cameras are so inexpensive and people have the access of cameras on their phones, it is a lot easier to hold the police accountable for their actions.
Secondly, we have the power to vote people into and out of office. We need to vote out the politicians who condone police brutality. Politicians who do not address issues like police brutality must be voted out of office. These politicians are not listening to our voice and what we have to say. We need someone who listens to us and gets the job done. Personally I feel like we as should be spending a lot more time documenting and fighting against police brutality.
