Pet Peeves Essay
Two things that really p*** me off are when people are try hards/suck ups. There is no need to go full out in gym AND suck up to your gym teacher. The most they're going to do is let you be a team captain and get to play in the gym of your choice. If you suck up to an art teacher a couple differnt things could happen: they would most likely help you more, show off your work, or let you do something more fun than your class.
In my gym class last year, I can't even remember the amount of people that were try hards. I know for sure there is a boy in my class that is a try hard this year, and he is just annoying to the point where I dislike him a lot. He thinks that he’s an All Star with a rocket arm, but in reality he sucks. He will wind up so much to throw a ball that the ball will either not be thrown very hard or just hit the ground right away. While that is happening all i'm thinking is, “Like boy what the f^%$ you actually suck so just stop trying please!” Other days when we are playing flickerball or something with a football he’ll say, “Go far,” but yet he can't even throw it 10 yards. I don't know what's going on in that little brain of his when he’s playing.

They will check you, trip you, and throw cheap shots . Other times, some of the girls will try a slap shot or just try to shoot it; either way they just absolutely suck, but they still think that they are the best. So, they talk to the coaches like they're their best friend, but really the coaches are just being nice by saying, “That was a great shot,” or “Yeah looks good keep doing it just like that.” NO! Are you kidding me?! All i’m thinking of when they’re doing this is, “The puck didn't even leave the ice, they didn't even hit the net, and their shot was how a mite would shoot

This assignment offers you the occasion to write a letter to the editor of any newspaper, business, or organization that you choose. So, to begin with, consider an issue about which you have a strong opinion or “pet peeve”—something that bothers you or something that you think ought to be changed. Eventually you should also read carefully through one of your chosen publications—the one to which you will address your letter.…

Reading, "Me Talk Pretty One Day", by David Sedaris, is like being at a stand-up comedy show. The article is full of puns and points that make you feel as though you are suffering through this French class with him. Despite all the humor in it, there are some main points I believe he is trying to convey. David Sedaris' main claim of perseverance is well argued, because the author never gives up in spite of a teacher who is rough with him, he spends extra time on his school work while immersing himself in the culture, and the author comes to realize he is not alone in his struggles. First, don't quit.…
