Orcas in captivity provide the audience with education and conservation of whales in general. School trips come to marine parks they get educated when they leave. Programs and shows at marine parks help serve to educate the audience about marine life, and without this experience, the public may be less interested in marine life.
People say that having a few whales in captivity is helping to save the population of whales in the wild they think that the orcas are endangered. Aquarium research combined with studies from the wild has improved scientists' understanding of the biology, ecology, and impacts of growing human populations on the orcas. They use this knowledge to understand the biological needs of the orcas and the impact that our human life has on their environments and life.
