Essay On Oil Filter

To begin changing the oil on a 1994 Formula Firebird, the vehicle must be parked on a flat surface and turned off. The motor will need time to cool, so as not to burn whoever is performing the oil change. During the time period in which the engine is cooling down, place a three-ton capacity jack under the car and position it below the frame behind the front wheel on the driver's side of the car. Then, push down on the lever of the jack until the car has been raised enough for a person to crawl under the car and move around. By this point, the car will have cooled off enough to drain the old oil. To do this, acquire a large oil pan, crawl to the center of the car, locate the oil plug bolt, position the pan under the bolt, and take the plug off with a fifteen millimeter wrench. …show more content…
Then, put an oil filter wrench around the filter and spin it counter clockwise until the filter comes off. After both the filter and the plug are off, wipe off the areas where they were with a rag or some paper towels. Now that the areas are cleaned off, put on a new Bosch 3322 oil filter and spin it clockwise onto the same place that the old filter went, making sure it is tight with the oil filter wrench. Afterwards, put on the oil plug where it was previously, and tighten it with the fifteen millimeter wrench. Next, lift the hood and take off the oil cap that says what type of oil the car takes. The oil that will be used is Valvoline 5W-30 oil. Stick a funnel into where the oil cap was and pour five quarts of the 5W-30 oil into the funnel. Following that, put the cap back on, and look under the car to make sure that no oil is leaking from both the oil filter and the oil

The crayfish need an “internal or external canister filter” in their fish tanks to provide the prime environment for growth (Pierce n.d.). A canister filter continuously cleans the water within the tank to maintain the ecosystem for the crayfish. An internal canister filter hangs inside on the glass tank, while an external canister filter hangs outside on the glass tank. These canister filters are the best option for a fish tank because, without them “20-30% of the water” in the fish tank would have to be “changed daily to get rid of debris, feces, and uneaten food” (FishGuy, 2012). With these filters present, the caretaker does not have to change the tank water every day, but it would be in his/her best interest to change the water at least…
