Essay On Nursing As A Career

My name is Ramona Kelsey, and I want to talk about why I would like to have a career in the nursing healthcare field. My career goal has been the same since I was 9 years old, I have always wanted to get my masters in nursing and work in varies departments of the health field. When I had my first son, I had a midwife deliver my son and that’s when I decided I wanted to become a midwife and deliver babies and specialize in premature babies. Once I receive my masters and start working as a midwife I would like to one day teach a certified nursing assistant class for anyone that wants to become a certified nursing assistant or lvn. Working as a nurse is more than a career or a job you have to have a desire to work in the healthcare field because you have to be able to tune out some of the things going on in your personal life and focus on the patients needs. You learn something different every day at work, you hear stories about how life was when the patients were your age and what mistakes they made in life, it helps you think about making better decisions in your personal life and cherish your life more. As a midwife you are delivering babies which is a gift from god so that is an awesome feeling to be able to share that moment with your patients is a memory that can never be erased.
When you are working in the healthcare field you want to have a passion for what you are doing so that you will stay at that job and go to work with a smile on your face every day. knowing you are fulfilling your purpose in life. My purpose is to become a nurse and give love to the people that need it in the time of need. I will feel complete working in the nursing field I know I am supposed to do in my life, working in the nursing field is my purpose in life and I know I will be the best nurse I can
