When analyzing non-conventional and conventional offenders, there are a few distinct similarities and differences between the two. Every criminal is different and they all have various motives for what they do. The terms non-conventional offender and conventional offender just categorize the criminals in relation to the type of crime that was committed. Non-conventional offenders commit less violent crimes, whereas conventional offenders are the individuals that commit extremely violent crimes. At the end of the day, each type offender is aware of the crime they committed and that it is in fact a crime.
The first similarity between non-conventional and conventional offenders is that both are conscious of the wrong that they are committing. Each offender knows that their actions are immoral, but they decide to go through with it anyways.
