Essay On Newton Experience

Over the past thirty days I went exploring around the areas of Boston and Newton. Each day I went to a different area that I have never been before and took pictures to document my experience. I chose to do this experiment because I wanted to learn more about the area and know my way around better. When going into this project I expected that it would be challenging and that I was not going to do it everyday. But I ended up doing 28 days consecutively and missing two days because I went home. I believe what kept me going was my excitement towards the project and my motivation to adventure out.
I was surprised as to how I managed my time and worked it into my schedule. I came up with a system that I would explore Boston on days that I had the

I gained a love for photography and adventure and the desire someday to explore greater things. The three things that made me realize why I belong here is first, Newton is called the Garden City and I come from the Garden State, which I believe is a sign. Second, there are two streets that have my first and last name all in Newton. Finally, I’ve gained a sense of comfort and love for the area. At first I was a little apprehensive about being here, but now I know why I belong here. If I never did this project, I don’t think I would know what I know now. Something that I would have never found if I didn’t do this would be my sense of direction, the streets that have my name on it, and seen things I have never seen before. After doing this project I feel more at ease and confident in that my next three years to come here will be great. I believe I found something that I enjoy by wanting to explore more and to do more photography. It sparked my creativity because I always knew that I had a fascination about photography, but with this project it made me want to pursue it more and became more confident in my

I grew up in a poor, yet beautiful neighborhood called Grant Hill. Grant Hill is my wonderland and although I aspire more in life, Grant Hill has become a piece of me. Grant Hill is where I still live, furthermore; as time passes the neighborhood changes. As a consequence, so do the people who come and leave, nonetheless I still identify this as home. In this neighborhood I met my closest friends Ruby, Jenny and Saraid who until this day, resemble a sister bond between us.…

Ansel Adams “I hope that my work will encourage self expression in others and stimulate the search for beauty and creative excitement in the great world around us.” My thoughts: It is tempting, but too easy, to think of Ansel Adams as simply the Norman Rockwell of landscape photography, immensely popular but insignificant. Every year there is yet another books produced capturing some aspect of his career, another calendar featuring his breathtaking black-and-white views of Yosemite Valley in California. Adams photographs have been around for so long and are so familiar it’s hard to see them with fresh eyes. I his 1941 work "Moonrise Over Hernandez, N.M.," showing the expansive heavens stretching above the cemetery of a tiny Western town.…

Throughout my life I have lived in three cultural distinct regions Lima Peru, White Plains New York and Baltimore Maryland. For the first two years of my life I lived in Lima, Peru and even though I never culturally adapted myself into the culture I would often visit for months and immerse myself into the culture. I can say with confidence that if I grew up in that culture I would not my be the same person I am today because of the fact that they are a collectivistic country and that would change my outlook on myself and the community around me. Newton is a nice small town right in the middle of America's heartland. It is just the right size and has many restaurants including Druber's Donuts and Beck's Burgers. Two of my favorites. You should really move to Newton. Some people say that Newton is too noisy with its trains and what not, but once you have lived in this town for a few days, you get use to it.…

There are approximately 397,000 children in foster care in the United States of America currently and I used to be one of them. However, foster had not even been near the forefront of my mind that summer. The summer before I started my first year of high school, I had plenty of anxiety about the tall tale I invented in my own mind that stood before me. Stories about how hard high school were numerous and often regaled on the crowded bus ride home by high schoolers who seemed to have the knowledge of every wise teacher in history combined. which that scared me to death; I had always held my position as a good student who followed the rules of my middle school.…
