“ The nature versus nurture debate is about which part of a person is more important- their inherited qualities, which includes genes, or their personal experiences on the way they were brought up.” ( common lit staff ) All people are brought up in different families that influence how we all turn out. However, genes may determine how a person becomes who they are. “ one example of a person’s trait that is completely determined by their environment is native language.” ( common lit staff) This is an example of nurture, a person who grow’s up with parents who speak Spanish grows up speaking Spanish. No one can actually prove that a person is good or bad based on nature or nurture. People have different experiences that make them who they are. They also have different DNA than everyone else. This debate will be continuous so pick. your side and stick with it. “ Some people criticize the whole concept of ‘nature versus nurture.’ They claim that it is an overly simple way to think about a person’s identity.
