A hero is brave, a hard worker, but never a wimp. Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a child of a hero? My dad is the one I will be writing about. He has impacted my life this way for many reasons. To be honest, I am very proud to say i’m an Army child. Even if there were many difficulties of being one. My dad is one of my heros’. The reason why I count him as one of my heros’ is because he served in the Army for 17 years. He went to war quite a few times and could have lost his life, but he didn’t. My dad is obviously not a coward. He is brave and strong.

There are many reasons as to why my dad is a hero. One reason why my dad is my hero, is because he was in the Army and went to war. First off, this makes my dad a hero to me because he fought for our country. Our rights, freedom, for support, everything. He went overseas 3 times. Once to Iraq, then Kuwait, and then to Afghanistan. My dad went to Iraq 12 hours after I was born back in 2003. My dad and mom had me born 3

He’s a hero because of what he does. He brings others joy and is super nice and friendly. Not to mention he helped make me the way I am today. Which i’m proud of. He isn’t someone who gets on people’s nerves and makes ne people upset or gets them angry. He’s not a bad person and I hope I turn out to be as great as he is.
