This could be considered a barrier because it could impact me pursuing my master’s degree in social work. As a result of a negative childhood, there are times I suffer from a negative self-image. This may impact my studies because I may experience self-doubt and question my abilities. I have strengthened my self-esteem over the years and there are times I still question my abilities, but I am much more confident in my work. Also, during my time at the BSW program at UWGB, I have learned how to separate myself from my negative childhood. In the past, I have been unorganized with my studies and it has impacted my grades. Four in a half years in college has taught me that in order to succeed students must be organized. I have improved in this area mostly because I keep track of my assignments in my agenda. Last spring semester, I had a meeting with my advisor and Methods instructor in which we discussed my performance standards for the Fall 2015 semester. One of my performance standards was to maintain a higher level of organization. I have made it my academic mission to maintain a higher level of organization in my social work classes. So much to the point that I make to do lists of the weekly assignments I have due. I believe I have improved in the area regarding my organizational abilities. This could still be considered a barrier, but it is not a matter of immediate concern. I believe that I have excelled in this area because becoming more organized has impacted my grades in a positive manner. I believe this because it is evident in the increase in my current grade point average for Fall

The author of this article attempts to find out if MSG is truly harmful and if there are people who are actually sensitive to it. To find out if people are actually sensitive or not to MSG would be a huge step towards new research being done on allergies to not only foods, but specific ingredients and chemicals within these foods.
