Policy to improve situation regarding minimum wage
According to article “Minimum wage hikes not effective in reducing poverty: Manitoba premier”. It was discussed that a higher minimum wage is the best way to reduce poverty. It’s said that it’s a mitigation tactics that is also good but it doesn’t really reduce poverty. And also it is also said that exempting tax on personal income will also be a good means but these are other ways of that can improve the situation.

Invest in Asset-Building Programs for Low Income Manitobans Those Strategies that allow low income individuals and families to acquire a wide range of resources that would help them meet up with the basic necessities of life. Such assets could include home ownership, or skills training to remain competitive in the workplace. However, persons who do not have enough income for the basic necessities of life will not have any money to apportion to savings for future investment.
At what level of Government a new policy be administered state, local or national
Most people know the general minimum wage for their province or territory, a closer look at how minimum wages are decided and how they vary across Canada. Not only are the minimum wage rates different in each province or territory, the categories are different as well. For example, in every province, the wage rates are categorized by the types of work performed:
• general minimum wage, or those that do not fall into any other category
• student minimum wage
• liquor servers minimum
