This article describes the meaning of a Professional as one who develops expertise over time through extensive training, knowledge and practices. Army leaders and
Soldiers alike develop their own type of experiences and knowledge in their skill sets.
Put together experience and knowledge create a professional force that has proven to outlast the enemy. Without that, the Army may not be as effective. One major role of the Army Profession of Arms is that of the Human Resource
Sergeant. The Human Resource Sergeant is there to defend the people and uphold the traditions and values of the Army by serving their Soldiers and their families, earning their trust, having a sense of honor is what motivates the Human Resource Sergeant,

What it means to be a Profession in the Army based on my own personal experience is knowing that your Soldiers can trust you to take care of them without question. My training and expertise helped in gaining the trust and confidence of the Soldiers assigned to our unit, and that they could depend on my commitment to them so they can continue with their mission and not have to worry about the “small stuff”, and to assure them that they and their families will be taken care of just as well. Even though the Army has a continuous challenge of “balance” with strategic leaders, the Junior Human Resource Profession makes and keeps there professionalism on a
