Mexico City a Disaster
Mexico city is a nice place to live if you’re rich. Mexico city is located on a basin. A basin is a wide, round hole in the ground. Mexico City is near a lake called Lake Texcoco. Lastly Mexico City is near two volcanoes. Mexico City have lots of past history. In the past, there was a native group called Aztecs. The group went different places to find an area to settle down. They finally settle down near the lake and they called the city Tenochtitlan. Lots of years later, the Spaniards went to Tenochtitlan to conquer the city and to find gold. Centuries later, people in mexico rebel for rights and the event was called Mexican War of Independence. Mexico City have different problems such as Rural Decline, standard of living and the effects of Urbanization.
Mexico city have a problem that is called Rural Decline. Rural Decline means lots of people coming from the countryside to the city. Mostly it could be because people work as farmers doesn’t have money or that companies or other people are earning or winning the competition against other farmers. Around the world people a rich and other aren’t so rich. In Mexico City, People are mostly poor instead of being able to have a good house. One of the surveys tell us that one neighborhood have each person with 22 square foot per person. that being said that lot of people in that neighborhood have less space to have a bathroom or a kitchen or they do have a kitchen but it is also in the bedroom. There is a map of Mexico city that show different topics. It shows that In the north or ¼ of mexico city have good homes material, bigger spaces, good safety, and people with water. ⅔ to ¾ of the city shows that they don’t have lots of water, few education, and people with not so good material.
