Not all women were confined to a life in a house somewhere able to balance wife and homemaker and have an outside the castle job they were able to assist their husbands and their fathers’ jobs that they had women would assist the men in fermenting wine, and also working the land and maintained some livestock. They allowed them to have a second job nearby so they would not neglect their responsibilities maintaining the lord’s house and also putting nice food on the table for their magnificent parties.

During the busiest times of the year, such as the harvest, women often joined their husbands in the field to bring in the crops. Women often participated in vital cottage industries, such as brewing, baking and manufacturing textiles” (The Middle Ages 1) About 90% of women and their families were peasants.(medieval England 1) during that time or lived on the lords landed to help maintain the land that they owned or had to run their massive land and put their food on the table for them and their lords family so it was a whole family effort to meet the lords demand
