Do the media have a reflection on cases such as victim impact statements? Yes, the media with its new techniques can display an interference with the case to pursue an individual’s decision making by potential limitations. Having the media involved in my opinion can influence pursue the use or not to use the death penalty in some cases. However, this can be interpreted in the assumption of the public as a historical back flash of slaves in the distribution of the presence of his or her master and like the example of the rich vs. the poor. Hopefully, in the future we can resolve discrimination in our court system and try to provide other methods instead of the death penalty to resolve criminal’s inhabitation. Resolving the issues in the courts will lighten the media’s attention on the issues about the debates of the death penalty. We as a society have strong feeling in the regards of putting human to death even if they had done harm in our society. I’m not saying they should not be punishment; we need to extend their punishment through incarceration not murder. Meanwhile, by resolving the issues of discrimination in our society in general, we will level the aspects of outcast and will possibly deter criminal involvement. Furthermore, by researching this topic I’ve learned that we do discriminate in our court system which as hopeful future lawyer it shames me that this disrespectful manner is allowed in the process of sentencing another
