Style, fashion, and attitude all contributed in helping others see what the “punk people” viewed as the problems in society. As for the Ramones they went with the leather jackets, jeans, and sneakers that looked like had been owned for years topped off with long thick, bushy hair. Their style became the “uniform” for all youth; despite their music perspective, their look was “All-American”. The band’s logo had the Presidential Seal with an eagle clinching and apple branch and baseball bat. The logo also included “Ramones” emblazoned in eye-catching red block letters against a black background. The image inspired just the right amount of spunk into a traditional American symbol. The Ramones stood for wholesomeness with a little more than a hint of aggression, all un-neatly packaged in torn jeans and too-tight
