Essay On Marylyn Family

The family that Marylyn considers to be “family” is the one that she is in right now. Her grandparents are Johnny and Ernestine Mitchell. They were married around the 1940’s and were together until Johnny’s death. They have six children, Dinky, Michael, Mark, Cherice, Quentin, and Anthony. Ernestine was able to live to see all of her grandchildren, but passed away in 2006 due to the carelessness of the nurses and bled to death. The first child, Dinky is married to Lin and they have two children, Brandon and Brittinay. Michael was married to Sylvia until the day of his death due to an unknown illness. The participant did not know exactly how long each of her uncle were married. Marylyn and her mother are considered one family. Her mother never married and Marylyn is her mother’s only child. It is often just the two of them. Everyone in the family are in good terms with each other. Marylyn expressed how the siblings do not really have problem with each other, but may sometimes have issues with the in-laws. Marylyn considers this family to be an open family.
