If you are reading this article and your dog is suffering from lungworm. Maybe you have heard the recent national campaign to raise awareness about lungworm, and you are wondering what lungworm is all about. Lungworm, scientifically known as Angiostrongylus vasorum is a type of parasite worm that affect the lung and tracheas of dogs causing a numbers of health complication which can result in death. Slug and snails are the carrier of lungworm larvae. Infection can occur by ingestion of gastropod and also by transmission of larvae through the faces or saliva of the infected dog.
