Lowe’s department manager teams focus on what is important to their customers and who their customers are. They know women are the key holders for making decisions about remodeling a room to the whole house. Lowe’s knows and understands this, so they need products that are more appealing to women to help their sales increase. They also have an advantage over their competitor of having better, friendlier customer service representatives, this could help their sales increase by drawing people in and being helpful (Masters, 2004).
Acquisition
Lowe’s is expected to acquire Maintenance Supply Headquarters. The Supply Headquarter is a distribution center that is to serve products to multifamily housing industry, hoping to see transactions of five hundred and twelve million dollars of revenue (Lowe’s Announces Agreement to Acquire Maintenance Supply Headquarters, 2017). Their goal is to be more efficient and effective to their vendors, suppliers, and most of all to their customers. Lowe’s wants to be able to better serve their customers by offering them a better quality and uniqueness of products. The company’s ability to expand into products such as appliances, plumbing, lighting, electrical, as well as other products to help renovate multifamily housing industry. Lowe’s learning and knowing their customers is a stepping stone to greater accomplishments. Customer interest is ideal to have for any company, customers can help or hurt a company. Lowe’s is thinking right about knowing their customers and what they have to do to get the customers coming back.
