Lights. One light flashes onto a black stage, one man and one woman stand together uttering infamous words. They are rehearsing lines for a well known Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet. The woman playing Juliet cries out to her Romeo, “My only love is my only hate”, (act 1. scene 5. 138). This play is all about the mix of love and hate. However, many argue that one is stronger. The bible preaches throughout its entirety that love is stronger than hate. Also that love a peace go hand in hand. This is also true in the beloved story of Romeo and Juliet. Juliet says,” I can imagine more than I can say—I have more on my mind than words. Anyone who can count how much he has is poor. My true love has made me so rich that I can’t count even half of my wealth.” (act 2.scene 6. Page 2). Her love and soon thereafter marriage to Romeo has made her happy.
