To begin, the first and most common injury caused by these sports are short term had injuries and long term head injuries. Though they seem not as big as a deal, but they most certainly are. C.T.E as the article states is, “-(C.T.E.), a brain disease induced by repetitive head trauma and linked to depression, aggression, impulse-control problems, memory loss, and dementia.” These effects seem very frightening to most players of these sports and because of this disease, many players have lost the privilege to participate in their passion. Lastly, the worst effect of them all is death. To support this, the article says, “In 2014, more than 9500 concussions were reported among high school football players in the U.S. At least eight high school football players have died so far this year, according to the National Center for Catastrophic Sport Injury Research-” This excerpt is saying that many football players (and players of another sport) have lost their lives due to the injuries caused by playing high impact
