Essay On Liberal Party

Once upon a time there was a girl named Abby Morton who lived in a house in a small town surrounded by cornfields. Abby drove an hour to class four days a week. For Abby’s political science class she was told to take an ideology test to determine if she was a conservative or a liberal. I am Abby and I am a liberal, this is my story. Before I took this test I understood the difference between the liberal party and the conservative party. Did I really care if I was a member of either party? No, I didn’t care. After taking this test I was told that I fit right in with the liberal party, am I surprised? No. I am not surprised that I fit in with the liberal party because I share many of the same beliefs. I’d say this test was accurate for me.
One of the main reasons I have the beliefs that I have are because of my parents. My parents have influenced me my whole life so it’s no surprise that we share some of the same beliefs. My mom is a dedicated catholic and has spent the past 18 years of her life sending me to church. While I don’t mind going to church every once in awhile, I do mind having to give up my only day off of work and my saturday night every week. I do not agree with being forced into do something or go to something you’re not sure you belive in. I guess that is why I’m not much of a conservative. Conservatives stick to the same routine and beliefs, just like Catholics. Catholics preserve their traditional ways by reading the same scriptures every three to four years, that’s extremely boring to me. Dedicated Catholics also do not believe in same-sex marriage, but I do. I believe that people should have a right to marry whoever they want, another way in which I’m like a liberal, all for
