I never thought I would meet someone that has more problems than me until I heard about Lennie. In the story Of Mice and Men, Lennie, a mentally disabled man, travels around with George. George is Lennie’s friend or caretaker, as some would say. The two journey to a ranch with unique personalities, such as Curley and his wife. In Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, conflicts arose between Lennie and George, Lennie and Curley, and Lennie and Curley’s wife.

They talked often, Curley’s wife is lonely, but George told Lennie not to talk to her. Lennie was affected greatly by Curley’s wife’s beauty. This leads him to trouble as he talked to her even when he should not have. Lennie conflicts with Curley’s wife when he will not tell her what happens to Curley’s hand, even though Lennie was the one to break it, which upsets her. Lennie and Curley’s wife's conflict continued until Curley’s wife said, “Here-feel right here,” as he stroked her hair, he broke her neck, which was their final conflict (99). This presents a message to not talk to others that have been warned not to talk to you, as problems may arise.
These conflicts between Lennie and George, Lennie and Curley, and Lennie and Curley’s wife were mostly based on Lennie killing Curley’s wife. As this leads to Lennie dying and not being able to solve these conflicts. The themes portrayed in this story presented messages to help others and be nice to others so other conflicts do not present themselves. Most of these conflicts could’ve been avoided if everyone just worried about themselves. Lennie’s problems might not be solved, but you could learn from Lennie and solve yours before it is too
