It is said that marijuana was first discovered in China, in 2737 BC. The Emperor of China was said to have found medical benefits when using marijuana. This information can not be verified, but according to The Archaeology of Ancient China there were hemp fibers found in Chinese pottery going back 10,000 years. Years later the Spanish introduced marijuana to America in 1545. Marijuana became a major crop for the English for a short period of time, and then was forgotten for many years.
