A kinesthetic learner often associates real-life events to get a better understanding of what we are reading or listening to. To receive the full benefit of this learning style, at least a few of the five senses should be engaged to ensure the information being presented is being absorbed. The eyes can be used to look at a model and process how what is being learned is put together. The fingers can touch it to put a surface with it. Use the mouth to take a little taste to give it a texture. The nose can smell its scent. Lastly, the ears can listen and hear it to recognize the sound it makes. Laboratories are amazing for kinesthetic learners as we are given the tools to perform hands-on experiments and the ability to visualize the material while using most of the senses.
